Read about two genuine, sad and unresolved cases of human rights violations, corruption, collusion and big money below.
In both cases serious crimes have been comitted by the very same Balinese police officers, lawyers, prosecutors and judges.
In both cases innocent women have been jailed in the same horrible prison of Kerobokan on Bali.
In both cases foreign governments play an unholy dark role in the hidden background...

Bali, 04 October 2005 -travelpress.biz-- PATA
Vice President-Development, Mr Peter Semone, has been in Kuta, Bali, since
October 2. Here are his comments from the Bali Crisis Information Centre at the
Kuta Ina Hotel in Kuta, Bali, October 4:-
“The public and private sectors
of the Balinese and Indonesian tourism community are doing an excellent job in
responding to the bombings in Jimbaran and Kuta. There is a real feeling of
solidarity in dealing with the situation. I have been extremely
impressed.
“Many of the recommendations made in the PATA Bali Recovery
Task Force report (January 2003) are being followed, such as cooperation between
all stakeholders at the national and provincial level; the provision of quick,
accurate and transparent information to media and the public; and the
stimulation of local demand.
“It is difficult to estimate the tourism
impact of the incident at this point. It is, however, very different from the
October 2002 bombing. Activity by tourists and locals continues. Those that have
chosen to stay in Bali are continuing to enjoy their holidays.
“It seems
that tourists are becoming more resilient to these sorts of events. As you walk
around the streets of Jimbaran and Kuta one would almost think that nothing has
happened here. People are still dining in restaurants, walking around and
shopping, enjoying the beach and enjoying their holiday.
“The Balinese
temple festival of Galungang starts on October 5 as planned. Families all over
Bali are preparing for this colourful Hindu festival as usual.”

Location of Bombs
General I Made Mangku Made Pastika,
Provincial head of Bali’s Police department, confirmed in a press conference on
October 2, 2005 that there were three suicide bombs detonated at three
locations. One in Raja’s Restaurant located in the Kuta Square area Kuta and two
at Jimbaran beach : Menega and Nyoman’s Café. The bombs were detonated some five
minutes apart.
Victims of Bombing
22 persons were killed including the
three suicide bombers. 17 Indonesian nationals and five foreigners, four of
which were identified as Caucasian and one as a North Asian. An additional 123
persons were injured, of which 37 have been identified as non-Indonesian
nationals.
Tourism and Bali
Bali’s 1,458,309 foreign visitor arrivals
in 2004 represents some 35% of Indonesia’s total foreign visitor arrivals.
Tourism contributes over five billion US dollars to the Indonesian economy of
which Bali attracts approximately half.
Flight Situation
PATA is not aware of
any cancellations of scheduled flights in and out of Bali so far. Qantas put on
two special additional flights on October 2, and one on October 3, to return
visitors to Australia.
Garuda Indonesia has offered to waive cancellation
fees for flights until October 16, 2005 and allow passengers to rebook earlier
flights home without penalties. Garuda said it is maintaining a full flight
schedule to and from Bali.
Visitor Movements
On average, there are between
5,000 and 6,000 daily international visitor arrivals and a similar number of
departures via the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali. Below are
the international passenger movements at the airport October 1-3, 2005
inclusive.
Hotel Situation
According to the Bali Hotel Association,
occupancy rates at most hotels are relatively stable. An association
spokesperson said there had been a few individual early check-outs, but the vast
majority were choosing to stay. However, the Association is concerned about
possible future cancellations of meetings and incentive groups.
Indonesia’s Response – Government
Indonesia’s Ministry of Culture
and Tourism immediately responded to the October 1 incident by setting up a
media/press centre at the Kuta Ina Hotel. The press centre provided complete
internet and other facilities for international and domestic media.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a
press conference at 1600 on Sunday October 2 in which he indicated Indonesia’s
commitment to do a thorough investigation into the incident and at the same time
heighten security in Bali. The press conference was followed by comments by
Bali’s Chief of Police, General I Made Mangku Pastika who explained that the
police had successfully recovered the mutilated bodies of the three suicide
bombers. This forensic evidence will be key in the investigation and pursuit of
other persons who helped to plan and implement the October 1 bombings, he
said.
Tourism Industry Response
The Bali Tourism Board, which is a
grouping of Bali public and private tourism stakeholders, responded quickly to
the incident. A Task Force was created immediately with posts at the airport,
hospitals and media centre. The first priority has been to support the victims
and their families. The Bali Tourism Board will continue these efforts and is
also doing the following:
1. Hosting the families of victims with hotel
accommodation and other requirements (air tickets not yet confirmed).
2.
Continued collection of relevant statistics in order to monitor the true impact
of this incident on Bali tourism.
3. Providing welcoming flowers to visitors
that arrive in Bali in the coming days.
As I am currently not on Bali, all I can do to help is trying to update our website with relevant helpful information fast as possible.
My family mourns the wounded and the dead.
We also mourn the people of Bali who are the collective victims of this terror as many of them will loose their jobs and family income in the near future, when less tourists visit the island...
Local ISP destroyed by corrupt officials within Bali's legal system and by criminal competition! Bali Police and prosecutors accused cv. Candi Internet of unlicensed ISP Services
It was a case of "market cleaning": But who paid the bills??? - The smoking gun points to German MegaCon SIEMENS who signed
a contract for wireless technoloy worth €330 million with Telkom Indonesia in October 2004!
In December 2005 Candi Internet and my wife Sang Ayu were fully rehabilitated by Bali High Court. Prosecutor Suhadi filed revision with Indonesia's Supreme Court in Jakarta.
The only argument for revision is that Bali's High Court did not share the attitude of police, prosecution and Bali District Court who jointly and arbitrarily destroyed our business and livelihood.
The case against us was initiated by officers from "Bali Cyber Crime Squad" in October 2004.
The Chief of this squad is Lt. Tri Kuncoro, who has never handled any IT case before and who was reported for alleged extortion and corruption by other persons already.
Chief Tri Kuncoro became famous on Bali when he handled a investigations against a dentist charged with illegal abortions early 2005.
He is infamous for handling another case of alleged corruption and extortion against Mark Austin.
Police moved the case against us in Janurary 2005 to Bali's Chief Prosecutor Ida Bagus Wiswantanu, whom I reported to KPK in April 2005 after he blackmailed us in January 2005 and again in March 2005.
Wiswantanu gained international fame while he handled the case against Australian Schapelle Corby who was accused of trying to smuggle Marihuana into Bali in October 2004. In May 2005 International and Indonesian media reported claims that prosecutor Wiswantanu asked money in exchange for not applying the death sentence as he already announced he would, but only life imprisonment for Schappelle Corby. He finally applied for life imprisonment only.
Following my report to KPK, prosecution produced backdated documents moving the case against my wife and our company to Bali District Court after they were informed that an investigation for alleged corruption against police officers has been ordered by the President's anti-corruption commitee KPK.
Henceforth our case was handled by prosecutor Suhadi who finally arrested Sang Ayu on June 15, 2005 based on his false statement that she was ignoring court summons letters for three months.
Prosecutor Suhadi gained international fame when he handled the case against Australian Michelle Leslie, who was arrested 2005 because two ecstasy pills were found in her bag.
International media reported about this case and reported about rumors that briberies of some AU$ 600,000 had been paid to get Michelle Leslie finally released not after a max term of 15 years for drug possession. but after 3 month only for drug usage.
In September 2005 Bali District Court sentenced Sang Ayu to 5 month imprisonment for allegedly using uncertified telecommunications equipment.
On December 6, 2005 Bali High Court released Sang Ayu as innocent on all charges and expressively granted her the right to get fully rehabilitated.
We were told to expect the Supreme Court in Jakarta to queue our case for at least 24 month.
During this time we can not file any damage claims.
My wife left Indonesia and after 8 months of separation and suffering our family is reunited in Germany. I shall soon publish more updated information here.
April 2006
Since June 15, my wife Sang Ayu Made Karnasih was in Kerobokan prison while there is a court case against her as legal owner of cv. Candi Internet for preparing to operate an ISP business presumably without license from authorities in Jakarta and for operating vSat equipment which was purchased from a Jakarta based distributor and which is wideley used in Indonesia, but has not been certified by authorities in Jakarta.
The district court of Denpasar, represented by presiding judge Nyoman Karma, sentenced Sang Ayu on September 5 to five month of prison and found her guilty for "operating uncertified telecommunications equipment".
The charges regarding operating ISP services without license have been dropped for "lack of evidence".
Right after the verdict prosecution filed a complaint as they claimed the sentence was not fair and should be 10 month of prison as requested by their final statement.
Our lawyer also filed a complaint and appealed at Bali High Court. Sang Ayu has been released from prison on October 1 and is currently under house arrest.
I was forced to leave Indonesia end of July 2005, together with our small child, because police threatened to arrest me for supposedly "damaging their good names" by reporting them to the Government of Indonesia in April 2005 (KPK) and by publishing on the web.
These people destroyed not only our business, they violated our basic human rights and separated my family by force.
More information here, at BaliRadio.com/reskrim/ and at Bali Broadcasting Service (Disclaimer: BaliSOS is not associated with Bali BS, nor do we share all their opinions, but they report about "the dark side of the Moon", publishing information about Bali that is currently too dangerous to be published by sources living in Indonesia, unless they are ready to risk imprisonment and terror.)
Bali Police started terrorizing us before we ever started any ISP services.
Our business was and is licensed, while many unlicensed ISP's are providing services on Bali and continue to do so without ever being investigated legally.
The charge regarding "operating uncertified equipment"
was invented in January 2005, three month after the same equipment was confiscated on October 23, 2004, as "evidence for unlicensed ISP operations".
And this is a very cynical charge, as most telecommunications equipment currently being used in Indonesia is not certified. This also applies to most handphones being sold in Indonesia.
As our family business cv. Candi Internet has been destroyed by terrorists inside Bali's legal system, we shall not be able to ever provide the superior and competitive broadband internet access we promised to provide.
Therefore we suffer not alone, but the public of Bali, everyone on Bali who uses the Internet, is a victim of the extortion conducted against us, all of you will continue to pay too much for services that should be better and for bandwidth that is too small for serious usage of the internet.

A Fatal Plan:
Relocation of Old Crude Oil Power Plant from Jakarta to North Bali
Electric power throughout Indonesia is controlled by wholly
state-owned (but recently incorporated) PT.PLN (Persero), a former monopoly
known then as Persuhaan Umum Listrik Negara (PLN).
PLN plans to relocate an old power plant ( 2x 50 MW ) installed in Tanjung
Priok , Jakarta Bay, in 1972 to a beach resort called “Lovina and
Pemaron Villages” in North Bali, Indonesia.
These two power machines consume about 45 tons of crude
oil per hour or about 1080 tons per day. The crude oil for these machines
will be transported by ship through island sea in North Bali and supplied
to the power plant with underwater pipe about 200 or 300 metres from seaside
once a week. So, they are certainly Old Power Machines ( 30 years old
) which consume a lot of crude oil and threatens the environment, the
wildlife and the livelihood of the people in this area. "SOS-Bali
in Danger" is a local initiative trying to prevent this from
happening. Read more
One year after the
bomb
First there was the horror itself, which on 12 October 2002
exploded over what many people thought was the least likely place on earth
for anything horrible to occur.
Bali—the Island of Gods—was supposed to be a place somehow
removed from the harsh realities of the rest of the world.
This silly idea was replaced by another silly idea, much touted in the
Western press, that Bali had ‘lost its innocence’—whereas
in fact what Bali had lost was its livelihood. The tourism industry evaporated
overnight. more...
